About ICCN

The Interprofessional Critical Care Network (ICCN) is a critical-care education platform built for the people at the bedside: ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, intensivists, advanced-practice providers, and the wider interprofessional team. Our mission is to turn the relentless pace of new research into clear, practical guidance clinicians can apply on their next shift.

What We Cover

ICCN publishes evidence-based articles across the core domains of critical care: sepsis and shock, mechanical ventilation and pulmonary care, cardiac and hemodynamic management, research and evidence appraisal, the ethical use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, critical-care controversies, and leadership and professional development. Each piece is written to be concise, current, and immediately useful at the bedside.

Who We Are

ICCN was founded by Javier Amador-Castaneda, RRT, FCCM, a respiratory therapist and Fellow of the College of Critical Care Medicine dedicated to advancing interprofessional, evidence-based practice. ICCN brings together clinicians from intensive care units around the world to learn from the literature and from one another.

Our Approach

We believe critical-care education should be rigorous, accessible, and free of hype. Every article is grounded in published evidence and written with the realities of clinical practice in mind. We are committed to editorial independence: our clinical recommendations are never influenced by sponsors or advertisers.
